Trim Levels of the 2022 Chevy Tahoe

Engineered for maximum capability, the 2022 Chevy Tahoe has a wide range of trims available to suit any buyer. As a full-size SUV, the Tahoe has all the space you need for trips with the family, hauling cargo, or towing your camper on vacation. But which trim to choose? Read on to find out which of the Tahoe’s trims are right for you.

Tahoe LS

The LS may be the entry-level Tahoe model, but that doesn’t mean you’ll have to settle for second-best. In fact, the LS comes well equipped with all the features you’d expect, making it far from bare bones. Choose between two powerful engine options and either rear-wheel drive (RWD) or 4WD. It also has more space in the third row than ever before and is the only trim that can hold up to nine people – other trims can only fit eight.

Tahoe LT

One step up from the LS comes the well-appointed LT. Buyers wanting to take things up a notch will find leather front seats, a 12-inch digital display gauge, and wireless device charging pads. Other useful features are a limited-slip differential that greatly enhances the LT’s off-roading capacity and a powered tailgate.

The LT uses the same two engines as the LS and can also be equipped with 4WD. However, the LS has a wide variety of optional packages available, which includes the practical Max Trailering, Rear Media, which adds backseat screens for long road trips, and Driver Alert, which adds a raft of safety features.

Tahoe RST

For a sportier look, the RST is the Tahoe to choose. While the basics are similar to the LT, the RST includes blacked-out exterior trim and a choice of 22-inch alloy wheels. In keeping with its sportier aesthetic, the RST is also the lowest trim to offer the larger 6.2-liter V8.

Tahoe Z71

Heading off the tarmac? Then the Z71, the Tahoe’s off-road focused variant should be top of your list. In addition to the features available on lower trims, the Z71 features beefy suspension, skid plates, and all-terrain tires. A raft of optional extras can increase the Z71’s dirt capability further.

Tahoe Premier

The penultimate Tahoe trim, the Premier includes even more nods to comfort, such as improved leather seats and optional features such as a retractable sunroof. Also included are many features that are optional extras on the lower trims, such as the features of the Driver Alert package.

Tahoe High Country

The Chevy Tahoe’s top trim is the High Country, which offers a 6.2-liter V8 engine and a luxurious interior. The latest in cutting-edge technology such as magnetic ride control and optional air suspension make this Tahoe the best of the bunch.
