At a Glance: The 2023 Chevy Silverado 3500

As the most capable pickup in Chevy’s heavy-duty lineup, the Chevy Silverado 3500 is purpose-built for towing and hauling heavy loads. For 2023, the Silverado 3500 offers robust engines, numerous configurations, and the latest comfort and technology features. Here is an overview of what to expect with the 2023 Silverado 3500.

Silverado 3500 Trims

The 2023 Silverado 3500 comes in four trims: Work Truck (WT), LT, LTZ, and High Country. The Work Truck offers essentials like an infotainment screen and integrated trailering package, while the LT adds styling and comfort extras like remote start, LED cargo lighting, and a larger touchscreen.

LTZ oozes luxury with leather seats, Bose premium audio, and more chrome accents. At the top of the range, the High Country trim boasts advanced features like HD surround vision, hitch guidance, front and rear parking assist, a digital driver information center, and a premium sound system.

Engine and Performance

The 2023 Silverado 3500 comes standard with a 401-horsepower 6.6L gas V8 engine and a six-speed automatic transmission. The available 445-horsepower 6.6L turbo-diesel V8 produces an immense 910 lb-ft of torque and is mated to a ten-speed automatic transmission.

Rear-wheel drive comes standard, while 4×4 is available for WT, LT, and LTZ trims. High Country comes standard with four-wheel drive for enhanced traction and exceptional towing control.

Towing and Payload Capacity

The Silverado 3500 can tow up to 17,200 pounds with the gas engine or an incredible 36,000 pounds with the optional diesel when using a gooseneck hitch. The strongest Silverado 3500 with the dual-rear wheel axle can carry up to 7,442 pounds of payload, which is excellent for users with extreme hauling needs.

Interior and Comfort

The Silverado 3500 comes in three cab options: regular, double, and crew. Regular and double cab options are only available in the Work Truck and LT models, while the LTZ and High Country come standard with Chevy’s crew cab, which has a longer wheelbase for increased passenger space.

The models feature amenities like heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, a heads-up display, and dual-zone climate control. Storage is abundant thanks to the truck’s spacious center console and the optional under-rear-seat storage compartments.

Infotainment and Safety Technology

Chevrolet equips the 2023 Silverado 3500 with a high-tech infotainment system and advanced safety features. A 7″ infotainment screen is standard on the Work Truck, while higher trims have an 8″ screen. All models feature Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, wireless charging, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.

For trailering, the truck offers advanced aids such as transparent trailer view, trailer tire pressure monitoring, and trailer light diagnostics. Driver-assist safety technologies include lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, automated emergency braking, and rear cross-traffic alert.

With its powerful engine, trailering capabilities, and advanced technologies, the 2023 Silverado 3500 pairs hardcore functionality with comfort and safety. If you’d like to experience these and more features firsthand, contact Walker Chevrolet to schedule a test drive of the Silverado 3500.
