There has been only one notable change to the standard features of the Malibu for the 2023 model year. All trim levels are now powered by a 163-horsepower turbo 1.5L four-cylinder engine in FWD. Otherwise, three new colors were added to the Malibu: Riverside Blue, Radiant Red Tintcoat, and Sterling Gray, bringing the total number of available exteriors to seven.

The Malibu’s engine enjoys a very high average combined fuel efficiency rating of 30 mpg, or 27 mpg in the city and 35 on the highway. Interior Comfort
All trim levels of the Malibu come standard with keyless open and start, a 12-volt power outlet, and a three-year subscription to remote access to your vehicle through your smartphone. Optional upgrades to note include a WiFi hotspot, a Bose premium sound system, driver memory settings, and a wireless charging pad for your smartphones.
The center console is dominated by an 8-inch color touchscreen infotainment system that can be upgraded with integrated navigation and comes standard with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Other upgrades, including a heated steering wheel and leather upholstery, are also available to customize the interior appearance of the car.

The Malibu’s options contain the full suite of Chevrolet’s safety features, including available automatic parking assist, automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, front pedestrian detection, blind spot monitoring, rear park assist, and of course, rear cross-traffic alert.
