1. EZ Street
This bar and grill can be found at 2796 Winfield Road, less than five miles from Nitro in nearby Saint Albans. Aside from their live shows, you can grab a drink or a bite to eat here. The menu includes pizza, burgers, salads, and more. This venue is open until 2:00 am every day of the week. They do serve alcohol, so please remember to be responsible and drink in moderation.
2. Live at the Shop
This venue is located eight miles east at 1233 Ohio Ave. in Dunbar, just across the river from South Charleston. Live at the Shop is a concert venue that also hosts bi-weekly open jam sessions and occasional bluegrass music open jams. Come check out a show or get some musical friends together and play your own live music.
3. Club Eldorado Bar and Grill
Located in Saint Albans, a few miles from Nitro, you will find Club Eldorado at 2417 Grant Ave. Their kitchen is open until 9:00pm and the bar is open until 3:00 am every night of the week, so visit Club Eldorado for a bite to eat, shoot some pool, and listen to a show. Try the steak and cheese sandwich with onion rings while you enjoy the music of a live band.
4. WV Brick Oven Bistro
This bistro, along with T & M Meats, their deli, serve delicious meats, deli items, brick oven pizzas, and more. They also host live music, so you can enjoy your craft beer and stromboli bites to the sweet melody of the band. WV Brick Oven Bistro is located at 5254 Big Tyler Road in Charleston, about six miles east of Nitro.
5. The Bucket
Located at 4030 Washington Street West, just under 10 miles east in Dunbar, this venue is just as much about live music as they are about quality food and drinks. The Bucket is open from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm (midnight on weekends). This is a great place to catch an acoustic show or participate in a fun event like music bingo.
